Loads has been happening since my last blog post.
Here’s a quick run down in point form with some pics! How has your past month been??
Featured on Finders Keepers Blog –Check it out, cool images with a little Q n A.I had my debut stall at Finders Keepers in Brisbane and it was SUPER Ace fun!! Thank’s so much to everyone who bough a print and stopped in to say Hiya to me and my mate Tam. We had a blast and will be sure to be at the next one in Brissy.I have been back to school –Lilla Rogers Make Art that Sells School. It’s been really intense and so rewarding and exciting. I have just completed part A and i will post some of the work I created during the course.
This was for the first assignment for fabric and I loved working on it –the theme was vintage kitchen incorporating (if we wish –casserole dishes and mushrooms from our mini exercises!) I also participated in the Global Talent Search to win representation with Lilla Rogers (which has been a dream of mine for ooh about 5 years!) –however i didn’t get shortlisted and although i was a sad sack for a night,I woke up feeling much better the next day and ready to soldier on and be my own “Mover and Shaker”!!
The ones selected are amazing and i’m happy to see some of my fav artists and friends are in there! Hooray! I can’t wait to see how they go with the next challenge! I have been working on making my website/blog/shop a bit more cohesive and nicer to look at. It’s always a work in progress,i’ve still got a few kinks to iron out. Check out my portfolio…i’ve got it linked to my tumblr –very snazzyJosh and I have finally been catching up on Breaking Bad –omg how did we not watch this one earlier? We literally started from season 1 only about two months ago and were hooked!!I made my first Pea and Ham soup and it was DELISH!!Going forward in my art plans –I still want to keep forging my path in the art licensing world,I am even more determined than ever. I have had some amazing collaborations in the past with my art and I am looking forward to what the future brings too!!Dealing with Juniper and her 3 year old antics have been interesting –she is a ball of exciting energy and chaos. We are also getting her tested for sleep apnea and hopefully if we get that sorted it might help with her intense crazytimes in the day –once she finally has a good night sleep!
There is still always more to report but i’m running out of time, about to go on the school run! Going to try and give myself a challenge of updating this blog twice a week. Let’s see if I can stick with it! Anyone got any tips on how to get regular on the blogosphere?
